Rapid prototyping, manufacturing and product development company, Laser Reproductions, is partnering with an Ohio-based company to launch a company-wide program that will improve internal processes and develop its key people.

Laser Reproductions enlisted the expertise of Definity Partners, a leading business improvement firm that helps companies implement change and for rapid business results, to drive company sales toward a goal of 150 percent growth over five years.

Laser Reproductions will work with Definity Partners to indentify top performers in the company, develop current staff into leadership positions and build confidence across the company.

“Implementing a program like this will allow the company to put the necessary management systems in place to drive improvement,” said Laser Reproductions Vice President, Bret Border. “With processes in place, we can allow our management team to focus their attention on growing the business.”

As a result of the program, Laser Reproductions expects to have shortened lead times by 50 percent, improved efficiencies, stabilized production schedules by 75 percent, and improved on-time delivery. Additional projected results include:

• Thirty percent capacity improvement
• Sixteen percent machine utilization improvement
• The development of a sales process

Laser Reproductions began the program in October 2007 and has already begun implementing new processes.
