Laser Reproductions has extensive experience with cast urethane technology. Our experienced team of model makers and laboratory technicians develop efficient and cost-effective molding solutions, when multiple prototype parts are needed or specific material properties are required for functional or consumer evaluations.

The cast urethane molding process uses SLA prototypes to create silicone rubber molds, which yield polyurethane parts for low-volume production. The molds can be injected or poured, using plastic materials with like properties to those of injection molded parts.

Cast urethanes are ideal for sales and marketing samples, focus groups and functional testing where smaller quantities (1 to 100 pieces) are needed—a quality alternative to prototype injection molding, when time and money are considerations.
