Laser Reproductions is proud to announce its newest stereolithography (SLA) resin, RenShape® SL 7820...
COLUMBUS, Ohio—Rapid prototyping, manufacturing and product development company, Laser Reproductions, recently collaborated with ALLPARTS to create the prototype for a new guitar bridge.
ALLPARTS, a guitar, bass and amplifier supplier based out of Houston, Texas, contracted Laser Reproductions to design and rapid prototype a new bridge that anchors the guitar strings to the body of the guitar.
Initially ALLPARTS came to Laser Reproductions with existing sketches created by its technicians. From the sketches, Laser Reproductions’ model lab worked with ALLPARTS to develop a functional design with three-dimensional software data to build the necessary stereolithography (SLA) models. Laser Reproductions chose Somos® DMX and 18420 SLA resins to construct the final prototype. These resins best mimicked the final products’ end material functionality.
Laser Reproductions began working on this project in July 2007 and produced the final product in August 2007.
